Abstract

August 2016, Lampung Composite CPI index increased from 125.97 in June 2016 became 125.97 in August 2016, thus an inflation of 0.00 percent.

Based on the calculation of the rate of inflation (point to point) in August 2016 experienced inflation of 0.91 percent, and inflation year on year (yoy) in August 2016 was 2,22 percent.

Of the seven expenditure groups, five groups experienced inflation, namely food, beverages, cigarettes and tobacco were up 0.89 percent; housing, water, electricity, gas and fuel rose 0.27 percent; clothing rose 0.73 percent; health group up 0.54 percent; and education, recreation and sport up 0.66 percent. Instead foodstuff deflation (down 0.61 percent), and transportation and communications and financial services dropped 1.16 percent.

Monitoring of two cities in Lampung in August 2016, Bandar Lampung Metro deflation and inflation. Inflation Bandar Lampung at -0.11 percent, and inflation Metro 0.64 percent.

Inflation in Bandar Lampung is ranked 43rd and Metro City ranked 10th, from 82 cities observed price changes. Of the 82 cities, 33 cities experienced inflation and 49 cities experienced deflation. The highest inflation was in Sorong and Manokwari 1.27 percent, while the lowest inflation was recorded at 0.01 percent of Jakarta. Kupang experienced high deflation by 0.87 percent, deflation experienced Cilegon lower by 0.01 percent.

The food category contributed 0.15 percent, the biggest deflation. The subgroup being the largest contributor to deflation is a subgroup of fruits 4.52 percent.
